Air tangan Mami#23

Vege fried suhun
(12mo++)

Ingredients:
1cup Suhun (soak in hot water, drained)
1-2 inch carrot
2-3 tbs spring onions (chopped)
onion (not so much)
2-3 cloves garlic
1/4 cup anchovies
2-3 tbs cooking oil
1-2 tbs tamari sauce (optional)
water

Preparation:
  1. Blend the onion, garlic and achovies. Heat the wok with the cooking oil.
  2. Add in the blended ingredients, fry until fragrance.
  3. Add in the carrot and some water. Stir until the carrot becomes tender.
  4. Add in the suhun and spring onions (and tamari sauce). Let it cook until the suhun has absorbed all the liquid.
  5. Ready to serve.
P/s: Similar with the soy sauce, tamari are made from fermented soybeans, with the amount of wheat being the main difference between the two. Tamari is made with no (or little) wheat and a greater concentration of soybeans. Because of this, the flavor differs as well. The Japanese tamari is thicker, richer, and less salty than most soy sauce. The flavor also tends to be smoother. I personally did not add any seasoning into my baby's food because I want him to taste originally. But, if you opt to add the seasoning to your 'baby' food, it is advisable to use the tamari sauce instead of the regular soy sauce.
